Perennials was birthed out of a punk band dubbed Under Popularity. Drawing influence from 70's rock bands like The Stooges and Lou Reed, eventually Perennials came to be. Working with famed rock producer Mark Howard (REM, U2, Bob Dylan), they started working together on recording. The band would later witn the prestigious Hamilton Music Award for Rock Album of the year in 2009 and soon after began playing shows.

Performing live today, the line up includes the band's brainchild Chris Wilson as lead singer and guitarist, along with Peter Arsenault (Ex-Doughboys) on bass and vocals and Jackson Wilson now on drums along side Monica Wilson (percussion/vocals).

The band has shared the stage with acts like Headstones, Teenage Head, Forgotten Rebels and Carol Pope among others.
